Wedding Day Checklist for Hawaii

Compiling a Wedding Day Checklist is critical to preventing major wedding day disasters. You'd be surprised just how long this checklist can get and it's important to customize one for your unique needs or you may end up forgetting something important on your wedding day. It's also not a bad idea to have a different checklist for different wedding party members or other important players that may have a lot of responsibilities on your wedding day.  A professional wedding planner will be able to do this for you and make sure that nothing slips your mind.

Your Wedding Checklist should include all the items that you do NOT want to forget. Below is a list of a few of the essentials but as we said, it is important to add the special things that are unique to you. For example, if you are having a canine flower girl, you'll want to add a doggy water dish, or if you are planning on using your great grandmother's vintage mirror when applying your makeup, you'll want to add that too. There are also some important things you might want to consider as essential that are unique to Hawaii. For example, if your wedding is outside in the sun, you might want to have extra cold water on hand or maybe a few hand held paper fans for elderly or young guests who are more sensitive to the heat. Additionally, you'll want to make sure you have a small purse handy with your makeup powder in it to help prevent shine and keep your skin looking flawless even as the humidity, wind, and - dare we say - sweat, set in. ;)

Bride's Wedding Day Checklist:
-Wedding gown (duh! But I bet you didn't remember a pretty hanger for your dress so your photographer can get a nice photo, huh?)
-Headpiece and Veil
-Undergarments
-Shoes (and a pair for the reception if you are planning on changing them out)
-Jewelry
-Nail Polish
-Deodorant and Perfume
-Make-up
-Hairspray
-Bobby Pins
-Items to carry (handkerchief, written vows, etc)
-Garter
-Something Blue
-Ring Pillow
-Flower Girl Basket
-Your overnight bag
-Emergency Kit (This has its own list all together! But luckily, your wedding planner will have one!)
-Etc!!!

The Groom should definitely also have a checklist of his own and it should go something like this:

Groom's Wedding Day Checklist
-Tuxedo, Suit or other attire
-Shirt (and a spare if possible)
-Tie
-Cummerbund, suspenders or belt
-Cufflinks and studs (when applicable of course)
-Shoes
-Socks (nice one's please!)
-Handkerchief
-Vows
-Money/credit cards
-Overnight Bag
-Etc!!!

Your Maid of Honor and the Best Man may also need their own checklists as well, particularly if they are responsible for bringing along some essential items (don't forget the rings!). Or, perhaps the officiant should have one if you don't have a wedding party (which reminds us: make sure you have an extra copy of your vows and the officiant's words in a different place just in case they get lost, wet, etc.).

Additionally, you should also have other checklists and timelines for the Wedding Week and Day of activities that need to be completed the week before, day before and day of the wedding. These lists would include things like:

-Hair, Makeup, and manicure appointments
-Marriage License Appts.
-Transportation Pick Up and Drop Off Times
-Photo Sessions Before or After the ceremony
-Etc.

As you can see from just these few short lists, there are many things that go into making a wedding day possible. Even the simplest of Hawaii weddings still requires careful planning and detailed checklists to go off without a hitch. The value of hiring a professional to take care of all these little things is immense. Though a planner may not seem like an essential cost, it really can make or break your wedding day. 1. Joyous to know about this wedding day check list. Recently, I arranged my sister-in-law’s wedding dinner party at one of excellent Los Angeles wedding venues. Hired a renowned wedding caterer and he served delicious food for this party.
