Cakes in Paradise

In Hawaii, you can have your cake and eat it too! The Big Island offers some excellent options for unforgettable wedding cakes with a touch of island decor and aloha. Here are a few gorgeous shots of Noelani Pi's creations at the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai taken by Toby Hoogs Photography that showcase the beauty and diversity of cake possibilities on the island. Warning: These cakes are so beautiful and appetizing that you might experience a strong craving for something sweet!

Often the cake reflects the style of the couple and mirrors the bride's gown or bouquet selections. This cake mixes the elegance of pearls with white orchids and pink roses for a romantic island feel. It is easy to imagine the bride in a matching soft gown and pearl necklace.

This 3 tier square cake has a much more modern, simple and clean design with the bold purple orchids and lavender ribbon. The use of fondant also adds to the modern impression and the simple white cake stand gives the cake more height without taking away from the design.

This cake is a classic all white beauty. The soft romantic linens, silver and crystal accents, and spray of flowing white flowers all accent the simple and stunning elegance and really allow the breathtaking ocean backdrop to shine through in the photos.

Who says you have to have flowers on your cake? This sweet and delicious cake is sprinkled with strawberries, blueberries and raspberries that compliment the light whipped cream frosting and homemade appeal.

This cake demonstrates where romance meets modern simplicity. We love the carefully chosen and strategically placed flowers on this cake and the interesting texture pressed into the frosting creating a perfectly imperfect look. It is true that sometimes less is more!

For a more bold and colorful approach, go with any of the beautiful and bright flowers of the island. This cake also has a lot of special details like the silver balls and pearl accents that add to its wow-factor.

Here you can see how the whole display of the cake came together. Tiers of vases filled with flowers add height to the display and draw your eye to the four-tiers of luxuriously designed cake. We love that some of the tiers are thicker than others adding interest and style and highlighting the different patterns. Finally, sprinkling the table with orchids and candles completes the look.

And of course, if you don't like cake, there are many other delicious options for your wedding day! From chocolate mousse to fruit tarts, most bakeries and resorts are happy to accommodate your special requests!
